Born in Beijing, Yang Li moved to Dilettante's home town of Perth, Australia, when he was 10 years old. After completing his undergraduate degree in fashion, he relocated again to London, where he studied the MA Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins. A subsequent internship with Raf Simons provided him with the industry savvy he needed to establish his own business.
Yang Li products are now stocked at avant-garde retailers across the globe, from tucked-away Parisian boutiques to giants like London's Selfridges.
